About Me
Documenting the fleeting moments of the stages and changes of a woman’s body throughout her pregnancy, to the speed of light at which a child develops in the first year of life, to all the fun moments of their growing years, to them getting ready for their senior year and graduating and moving on into adulthood....these moments fill my life with passion and purpose. One of my first shoots was of my best friend when she was pregnant with her second child, as she allowed me the freedom to expand my creativity capturing intimate moments with her sweet belly and her family. From that moment I was hooked…..
That moment took place in the Fall of 2010, and I have found that all I want to do is capture all of those moments for parents/families so that they may hold on to that sliver of time in their life when their child was swimming in the womb, sleeping peacefully as a newborn, making silly faces as they peer into my lens, or dreaming of a life after they graduate.
Through my own personal journey of trying for a family and not having one, I have found that I get so much joy and fulfillment from this career and establishing relationships with families for years to come. I am constantly growing and changing, as there is so much to learn in this industry. I love to shoot outdoors in this beautiful place we call home. I shoot newborn sessions in your home to capture real moments with real families, meaning there will not always be perfectly posed children with perfect smiles but the reality that is your life....which is even better.
I reside in Bend, OR with my amazing husband and community of supportive friends. We own a massage therapy practice in the heart of Bend, called Bodywork of Bend, with an amazing team of therapists. I recently have retired from teaching in the massage program at our community college and from an active doula practice. Now I get to photograph a lot of those littles growing up. My husband and I LOVE traveling and go as often as we can. I am pretty fortunate to call this my life and to be able to do things that I am passionate about for work.
